Now that Koh was in the room with the others, he figured he could relax a bit. He sat down on one of the crates with his shirt and jacket at his feet. He unscrewed the cap of the antibiotic ointment tube and made the difficult reach-arounds to apply it to the three spots on his back. Once the ointment was generously applied he tore off strips of tape and stuck a piece of gauze to each strip to form makeshift bandages since normal bandages likely wouldn't have been large enough. During these repeated stretches to reach certain areas of his back, Koh had to take a breather in between because of the sharp pains stretching caused because of his fractured ribs. I guess i' coulda been worse. I made i' ou' with jus' a couple o' cracked ribs and three laser burns. Some jus' didn' make i' ou'.
Once the initial bandages were in place, Koh slowly began wrapping his torso from the lower chest down with the elastic foam medical wrap. Once he had two or three full layers he finished with a layer of the medical tape to hold it in place. As would be expected these processes took him several minutes each to complete, so the others would have plenty of time to finish what they were doing before he was ready to go and speak with them.

"Lucky me." The mouse smirked, bracing herself for the sting. Harmony shifted away, peeking around the fox and past the crates, partly curious, partly nervous.
"Think he met up with those bad men too, Ms. Gates?"
Delia managed a tiny shrug, still trying to hold still. "Maybe, sweetie. Seems more likely for him to have had a run in with one of the robots, though. There're more of them around..."

Roy nodded in agreement as he grabbed the gauze roll and began. "Yeah, I don't think it was those two guys you were talking about earlier. Plus, he had a gun on him so he probably could have delt with them the minute they pulled something on him."
As the fox began wrapping up the mouse's second wound, he heard the echidna patching himself up at the other end of the room. "Hey, are you okay over there?" He called out to him.

Koh finished wrapping the bandages and slipped his jacket back on. It would likely seem odd that he had been wounded in such ways but his jacket was undamaged. The shirt, which he clutched in his left hand, was damaged by the laser fire, though. The reason the jacket was undamaged was because Koh had enough time while escaping to stop by his home and gather some last minute supplies, with his handgun, his jacket, and his Airboard among the main items he stopped for.
"I'll be alrigh'," Koh called back to them as he made his way in their direction through the stacks of crates. Koh inquires about the well being of those with which he is currently hiding as he approaches their side of the room, "Wha' abou' you all?" He doesn't favor his side so much now that it is supported, but the fact that he is injured will still be apparent by his uneven steps and his irregular breathing.

"Well enough, I suppose." Delia kept her eyes trained in the direction of the voice; her own was soft, and somewhat amused. The mouse watched Harmony rise and peer around the crates, clinging to them shyly, and shook her head. Even scared to death, the little dove's curiosity couldn't be sated.

"Besides a couple of bullet wounds, laser burns, and a recently unbrokenish arm, I'm just dandy." Roy stated sarcastically in a more lighthearted tone than he previously had. "As for the kind lady," Roy finished the last wrap around the wound and cut the gauze wrappings from the roll, tying them with what he had left extra from the cut.
"She'll be able to make it out of here when she's ready." Roy said as he placed the roll back onto the crate beside him. He then turned over to the dove pressed against the other crates in the room. "Hey Harmony, you don't have any cuts we might want to look at, do you?" Why the fox hadn't asked her that earlier, he wanted to know himself, but it was better late than never, right?

The pain killers Koh had taken before finally started working, although to little effect. They simply dulled the pain to a throb as opposed to the repeated, sharp piercing pain that he'd felt earlier. He was able to focus his thoughts more now, although only just. He made a brief attempt to read the emotions of the three in the back of the maze of crates as he made his way to them, but was only able to make out the one closest to him. It just so happened that her emotions were the strongest of the three at the time, or it appeared as such to Koh at least. Tha' guy with the messed up arm, a woman, an' a little girl. The girl is afraid an' curious. How odd. Then again, I guess i' only makes sense tha' a kid would be afraid in a situation like this one.
"You don' need to be afraid of me, little one," Koh said as he stepped around the corner of a pile of crates and into their view. He put as much of a smile on his face as he could manage, given the circumstances. He made sure to move as slowly and act as calmly as possible. He didn't want to startle or frighten anyone, after all. "You can call me Koh, by the way," He stated.
Koh then felt something warm and wet on his upper lip. He let out a sigh as he thought Damn...guess I overdid i' today. Even that small use of my power caused this. I suppose the painkillers are hiding the fact tha' I've prolly go' a headache. Ah I' can' be helped. Koh quickly wiped his nose with the shirt he had in his hand. It had laser holes burned through it, so he probably wouldn't be wearing it again any time soon.

Harmony was silent for a long moment, watching the echidna from around the crate.
"Harmony?" Delia asked patiently, laying a gentle hand on her arm when it appeared she hadn't heard, "Are you hurt?"
The girl turned half around, blinking and looking a bit sheepish at how engrossed she'd been. "Um, n-no. I'm fine. Sorry." Tittering nervously, she glanced back over at Koh, her pale eyes widening at the blood, "Are you--are you o-okay?"

Roy stood up and rolled his shoulders. As he rolled his left shoulder, one more jolt of pain traveled through his left arm. This one though, was not as bad as the other ones were. Maybe if I had some pain killers, it would be as though there was no pain at all... The fox shook his head at the thought. Nah, I probably should take it easy with this.
"Okay then, Koh." Roy said as he brought his good hand up to his chest in a fist. "I'm Roy Gates, but you can just call me Roy. The little girl is Harmony and the teacher is-"
Roy stopped as he noticed the blood on the echidna's upper lip. "Are, are you sure you're okay there?"

Koh sighed after wiping the blood from beneath his nose. He glanced to each of the other three in the room one at a time and said, "I's the stress. I'll be alrigh'. Been this way since I was really young." Koh tried to play it off like it was commonplace and not really a big deal. He'd simply overused his powers today when he was making his escape. It's true that Koh practiced his powers daily, but today was much more than practice. The stress of today had taken things a step farther. The nosebleed was a small price to pay in Koh's mind, and considering a nosebleed was all that he ended up with he wasn't too troubled by the consequences. He looked at them all one at a time again, "Good to mee' you all. Sorry i' had to be on such bad circumstances." He smiled again, trying to lighten the mood a bit.

Delia smiled sadly, shrugging lightly, "Not your fault. The situation couldn't be helped."
"How... How bad is it still?" Harmony asked timidly, glancing through the open storeroom door and toward the shadowy room beyond, as if she could see straight out to the street if she tried hard enough.

"Hey don't worry now. The circumstances could have been worse. Either way, it's still good to meetcha!" Roy said as he shrugged. "Anyways," he then said as he brought his right hand to his chin, "you say that this has been happening to you since you were young, huh?" He took a moment to think, recollecting things he remembered about people who get these chronic nosebleeds. He then moved his hand forward. "Would I be wrong if I guessed that you have some kind of a psychic ability maybe? Or at least some kind of power in general?"

Koh nodded in agreement with what Roy had said. It was true that their meeting had been in bad circumstances, but they could always be worse. Koh preferred not to think of those possibilities, though, lest they become a reality.
Koh turned his head to the young dove, "There's still figh'ing going on, bu' i's no' as bad as i' was in the beginning. We'll make i' ou' of here jus' fine." He gave her a reassuring smile. Leas' I'll be able to say I protected a few people.
What Roy asked after tat put Koh in an awkward position. His expression was both surprised and disgruntled at the same time. "Eh..." Aw...dang...guess I migh' as well tell 'em. "So you know tha' bi' of knowledge? Yeah, I have psychic abilities..." Koh shrugged, "I usually don' tell people cause the trea' me differently after they know."

Despite the reassurance, Harmony's gaze fell, and she shivered again, quietly.
"He's right. We'll be okay. You'll see." Delia placed a hand on her shoulder, then shook her head slightly, smiling up at Koh. "I'm a teacher. Several of my students have powers--it's no reason to treat anyone differently. Right, Harmony?"
The dove brightened considerably at the question--she even managed to smile, and nodded enthusiastically. "Mmmhmm. My best friend has a power. She can make plants grow--it's really cool!"

Roy smirked. "I figured you were one. I have a friend who was a psychic back in my unit. He used to tell me about how he would get all these headaches, nose bleeds and sudden weaknesses when he was younger, or when he overused his abilities." The shrugged again. "Anybody who treats you differently are just ignorant or jealous that you have a power and they don't."
The fox then sat down on a crate and put his right hand on his knee. "So wait a second," Roy said as his voice took on a more serious tone. " before I got here, I was out for probably a good couple of hours. I know that before then, the fighting was pretty bad. Do you know if anything has changed? I mean, how badly are we losing this fight?"
Roy didn't really want to be the one to bring up the topic, but he had to know whether or not it could be easy to get out of the city or not. If the city's forces were diminishing quickly, chances are, it would be much harder to get some kind of vehicle that is in a well enough condition that can get the group out of there. On the other hand, if the the city was putting up a fight, there could still be some evacuation areas that are safe for the while, and then they could provide such a vehicle, as well as some protection.
