Roy climbed over one more wooden crate and then looked over at Harmony's teacher. He quickly scanned her and made a quick assessment of her condition. Ah damn... She seems like she is hurt pretty bad. She's bleeding from her head, she covered in a number of bruises, and she's holding her arm to the side, though that is either because it's injured, or she may be bleeding from her side...
Roy put down most of the supplies he had gathered on top of the crate he had climbed except for a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a rag. He then knelt down beside the mouse. "My name is Roy Gates, and I'm here to help you two." He said as he took out a bottle of water from a the pouch he had put them in, opened it up, and poured a little bit of it on the rag. He then took the rag and began cleaning the blood off of the mouse's forehead.
"If you don't mind me asking ma'am. What is your name? And what caused you to come hide out in here?" Roy asked her as he finished cleaning up the blood.

The mouse winced at the sting brought on by the alcohol, but held still until Harmony sniffled quietly. Her eyes drifted over to the little bird, and she smiled weakly, lifting her good arm to place a hand on the dove's head.
"Delia." She said softly, glancing back at Roy, "Delia Gates." She shifted and winced suddenly, drawing her bleeding arm closer for a moment and gritting her teeth; when the spasm passed, the mouse took a deep breath and let her head rest against the crates behind her.
"We... We were trying to outrun a robot." Delia started again, weakly, "I was hit... My arm... But we ran into a side alley and we'd thought we'd gotten away."
"B-but then two guys came," Harmony whispered, eyes hooded under her fringe of feathers, "and we thought they were running, too, but they--they hurt Ms. Gates and... and... I didn't know w-what to do, so..."
She hiccuped suddenly and burrowed her face into Delia's side, and the mouse patted her shoulder gently, soothing in only the way mothers and elementary school teachers could.
"You were very brave." Delia said softly, before returning to Roy, "We managed to make it in here. I don't know if those Mobians are still out there or not."

Roy smirked. "Delia Gates huh? Nice name." He put the rag to the side and then began reaching for the medical supplies. He hesitated between grabbing some thread and a needle in order to seal up the wound to her head, but he decided that he would wrap some gauze around her head. This was only because he never really trusted himself with using needles on other people.
So Roy picked up the roll of gauze as he listened to the girls' story. "So I take it that your head injury was due to the two moans you met in the alley then?" He asked the teacher as he motioned for her to lean forward so he can bandage up her head.

"Yes," she said vaguely, inching closer so that he could reach her head. Harmony had whimpered loudly at the sight of the needle, but Delia shushed her gently, "They slammed my head against the pavement... I think I blacked out for a few minutes after that."
"I hid." The little bird at her side whispered, "I hid behind some trashcans, and they never saw me. Then I heard something out in the street, and they got scared off."

Roy leaned forward and began wrapping the gauze around her forehead until the wound was was covered well.
"They smashed your head into the pavement!?" Roy asked her as he cut the roll. Anger began to build inside of him after he heard what they had done. He put the roll back onto the crate and then pinched his forehead.
"Those damn bastards did this to you at a time like this, and then they just ran off afterwards!?" He asked this through gritted teeth. The one thing he hated more than criminals were the kind who would not kill, but hurt people. It wasn't that he liked the people who killed the innocents with no reason, but it was mostly because he'd seen what happened to the victims after they are attacked. The emotional scarring and the occasional mental illnesses that would develop in their brains... All of it just upset him a great deal.
There was more about them he was gonna say, but he remembered that Harmony was still there. He didn't want to scare the girl anymore than she was.
Roy took in a deep breath and then grabbed the bottle of alcohol and put it in his left hand. "Sorry." He said, still with a bit of anger in his voice. "Now your arm.. Is it more of a burn from one of the lasers, or is it from a bullet?" He asked as he waved for her to let him see the arm.

A silhouette moved through the haze hanging over New Westopolis. From rooftop to rooftop in Central Square it moved with impressive speed, sliding across rooftop edges, fire escapes, and leaping over alleyways. I's only been one month. One month since I joined the force...an' then this 'ad'a go an' 'appen. No...canno' think li'e tha'. Have ta stay on task. The few thoughts that made their impression on Koh's mind as he attempted to escape the city. It took almost all of his focus to keep moving. The pain and fatigue of the horrible events of the day were taking their toll on the echidna. You couldn't tell because of his jacket, but he had three burn marks on his back. One was on his right shoulder, one was in the center of his upper back between his shoulders, and the last was to the right of his spine on his lower back. Koh didn't know it, but he also had two cracked ribs on hisleft side. Given these wounds and the fact that he'd taken some bruises and had been running and fighting all day, he was reaching his limits. He only had one clip of nine shots left in his .40 handgun, and he knew he had to find a safe haven soon because he was going to pass out.
From down the block a shining beacon of hope becomes visible as the echidna makes his way around. The echoes of gunfire and lazer fire are barely a dull roar in his train of conscious thought as he comes to a halt on the Pharmacy. Sanctuary...Please le' i' be empty of those mechanized menaces... Koh's too tired to use his mental abilities to check for enemies, and simply climbs down the fire escape on the building beside the Pharmacy as quietly as possible. He peeks around the corner before moving to go into the front door of the place, his flashlight held in his right hand and his airboard in his left. As he began making his way into the pharmacy, Koh was unaware of those who were already in the building. They would likely here his heavy, tired footsteps before he knew they were there.

"Yeah," Delia smiled faintly, letting her newly bandaged head loll back again. "But I think it was less out of malice and more of cowardice. They were in an awful hurry to get away."
The mouse watched Roy for a moment, her eyes narrowed and Harmony tucked safely beneath her good arm, but there was no judgement in her expression--just an exhaustion that seemed to seep from her very bones. She waved his apology away.
"Gunshot. Just glancing, but it hurts like... Well, you know." Something that could have passed for humor drifted across her eyes, but the image vanished suddenly. Pale eyes widening, the mouse's ears twitched forward, and her grip on Harmony tightened. Delia's eyes flickered from the bird to the door, unwilling to spook the girl, but on edge nonetheless.
She'd heard footsteps.

"Yeah, I do." Roy did sense the small amount of humor that may or may have not been there. It was these kind of attempts at lightening the mood that he appreciated the most.
As he was preparing to clean out Delia's wound, his ears perked. He put the bottle of alcohol back onto the crate and put his right hand onto the handle of his knife. For a second, he couldn't tell what it was, but after a few moments, he figured that they were footsteps. "Shh..." He whispered to the girls. "I'll be back. Just stay quiet." He then reached to the side of his right boot and pulled out his tranquilizer gun. It may not be much, but it'll have to do for now... He stood up and began to make his way to the door.
The only problem that he had now was that he wasn't going to be able to fight this person, should there be the need to, because he was handicapped by his left arm. I'm not going to be able to aim properly, and should I need to switch over to CQC, I'll need to discard the gun... "I'll just have to deal with it when it comes up..."
Roy came up to the side of the doorway, and waited a bit. I'm pretty sure I saw a light come from over there. I'll just wait until it passes again.

Koh's footsteps were slow and irregular. His body was already beginning to come down from the adrenaline rush of trying to survive. A familiar 'click' in his head alerted him to the possible danger ahead. He didn't want to end up on the end of a few more shots from those machines. He couldn't hear any metal clanging against the tiled floor. He winced as the pain of his ribs became apparent to him with each breath he took. "H-hello? Who's there? I-I don' mean any harm..." He said between clenched breaths as he continued forward through the doorway.

Roy clenched the knife closer to his gun and then stepped forward. "You don't mean any harm huh?" He asked from behind the doorway. He then lifted his right leg and pivoted on his left leg, aiming down the middle aisle with his gun. "That's not the first time someone said that to me and actually meant it." Roy tilted his gun as he aimed it at the source of the light. In doing this, he hoped that it would at least seem like he had a deadly weapon, and had the capability to kill from where he stood, being that his broken arm probably would make the adversary believe he is incapable of fighting.

Koh's vision wasn't completely clear at the moment, but he could definitely make out the fact that the person in front of him had a gun and a knife both aimed at him. "I'm serious. Please, I jus' wanna ge' some res' and ge' fixed up." Koh raised both his arms, but quickly lowered them as he winced and grunted from the pain. I'm a bi' more banged up than I realized. "Here's my proof," Koh said as he pulled his own handgun and knife out of his jacket and slid them across the floor to the man in front of him. He made sure to do so very slowly. He couldn't focus enough to read the man's emotions or intentions.

Roy's eyes narrowed as he looked downward to the weapons that slid across the floor. He lifted his foot and stopped the two from sliding any further. His eyes went back up to the being down the aisle. Now that they had adjusted to the brightness of the light, the fox could make out the gray echidna. Judging from his stance, Roy could tell that he definitely needed to fix himself up.
"Alright then." The fox said as he put away his knife. He wasn't entirely sure that he could completely trust the guy, but he'll just have to take his word. "But just in case," Roy lifted his foot and picked up the gun. "I'll just keep this with me for now. You can keep the knife though. So you can still defend yourself."
Roy kicked back the knife in the echidna's direction and then turned toward the door. He glanced back at the echidna. "I'm going to be in the back helping out someone. If you need some help, just come on in." He told him as he began walking back to Delia. The threatening tone he had in his voice earlier had been brought down to a moderately calm tone.

Koh watched quietly, lowering his flashlight so it wasn't directly in the fox's eyes. He knelt down and picked up his knife, sliding it back into the sheath on his right leg. He didn't accomplish this task without a noticeable pause before rising back to his feet. "Agh...damn," he mumbled under his breath from the pain.
When the fox said he was helping someone else Koh's interest was mildly piqued, but only for a moment. Another sharp pain through his side reminded him yet again that his ribs had taken a heavy hit. He halted and stepped back out to he aisles and took a look around to find a few simple items. Although it took him a few moments, he managed to acquire some generic pain killers, some antibiotic ointment, medical tape, a few gauze pads, and elastic foam wrap.
The pain killers were the first to be used as Koh removed the lid and swallowed two of the caplets. I don' think they'll help much, bu' they're better than nothin'. I dunno how I'll be able to do the wrap. Maybe tha' fox would be kin' enough to help me. Koh's mind thought only of how best to relieve as much pain as possible so he could rest. With the beam from his flashlight leading the way, Koh finally made his way into the back room with his newly acquired items filling the pockets of his jacket. Given that Koh had taken more than a few minutes to find and collect these supplies, Leon would likely be well into his work on Delia.
Koh lay his air board and flashlight down in a corner of the room opposite those who were already occupying it. He flicked the light off to save battery and got his jacket and shirt off and spread out on the floor next to his board, but not without a fairly painful struggle. This would reveal the bruising on the side of his abdomen and the burn marks from laser fire on his back. Once his shirt and jacket were off, Koh had to take a breather and recover from the pain of having burned cloth pulled over fresh burn wounds.

Delia looked up when Roy reappeared, relaxing visibly.
"Who was that?" The mouse asked, suddenly more alert than she'd been since the fox had arrived, "Nothing dangerous, I suppose, since there wasn't any commotion."

"There's a good amount of shots left in this clip..." Roy said as e looked into the magazine of the gun. "Hope this isn't his last clip though." After saying that he put the clip back into the gun, which was in his left hand, double checked the clip was in all the way by hitting the bottom of it on his hand, and then placed into his holster. His tranquilizer gun was already back in it's holster attached to the side of his boot.
Once again, Roy moved through a number of crates until he reached Delia and Harmony. He shook his head in response to Delia's question. "I don't know who he was, but he came here to patch himself up. He's kinda messed up,but he should be fine" He said with some sympathy in his voice, but it then changed as he turned his attention to the mouse."But for now, we got to focus on you again." Roy went back down onto his left knee and then grabbed the bottle of alcohol and proceeded to clean the wound on Delia's arm.
