Author's Note: This is basically the MOTHER of all crossovers. It takes place in the fictional realm of AU, which is quite literally everything that ever has been, was, or could be, every canon, fanon, and fictional character imaginable, mixed freely in one giant, steaming pot of crazy. Anyone and everyone can visit AU without fear of being attacked for a self-insert, because AU is literally an AU--it's an EVERYTHING insert, like someone swept the puzzle pieces from a thousand puzzles all into one box and shoved it beneath a jackhammer. As such, things don't always make sense, nor do they always fit, but generally you can tell where one canon ends and another begins, although crossovers aren't uncommon.
Play your characters, play yourself, play whichever characters from whatever canon or fanon you like--anything to get this crackfest rolling (and it needs a plot, too~). I'll reply in a later post (considering I don't really know what I'm doing, as this was all thought up while I was in a half-exhausted haze... TAKE IT AN RUN, or delete at your discretion. XD), but for now...
Things to take into consideration while visiting AU:
- N00bs are a common sight. While not necessarily dangerous on their own, they can be overwhelming in packs and downright annoying. Packs of n00bs generally contain at least one Mary-Sue, which acts as their leader. The appearances of n00bs and Mary-Sues differs wildly depending on their fandom, but they can always be easily identified by their sparkling perfection, overpowered abilities, and tendency to insist that they will bear X-character's children. Despite their near-awesome powers, Mary-Sues and n00bs can normally be easily vanquished by small doses of constructive criticism or reality checks, which flatten them into pancakes when they inevitably bounce.
- The laws of physics still mostly apply. Exceptions are made depending on the canon, however--for example, if your canon allows its characters certain privileges such as pulling giant hammers from thin air or inhuman agility, then of course it's still accessible. Other exceptions are made on the fly for Chao Cannons, wibbly eyes, and the like, rendering this as more of a guideline than a rule.
- Characters can be SHOT and BRICK'D without any apparent lasting harm, unless meant for plot or comedic purposes.
- People don't always pop into AU by choice--sometimes they're having a nightmare, other times they've been spacing on a test.
- Characters remain true to their canon selves. The exception is when the AUer has created their own version of the character in their own AU. Understandably, much chaos and confusion ensues if the two (or three, or ten, or...) ever meet.
- AU is not a perfect fairytale world of pixy dust and rainbows. All those dangerous villains, natural disasters, monsters, and tormented OCs bent on revenge? Yeah, they're in here.
- Most of these things are ignored on a daily basis. :3
