Quite possibly the most normal character here.
Name: Victor Chase
Called: Victor, Vic, Vicky, Chase
Species: Cat
Birthday: October 1
Age: 30
Residence: Erune City, Ice Cap
Occupation: Doctor
Appearance: Victor's fur is white with a black "tuxedo" pattern taking up most of it, and his eyes are large amber orbs that make him look somewhat younger than he really is. His long, slender tail has a permanent bend in the middle where it appears to have been irreversibly broken. He tends to have a relaxed posture, and almost always smiles.
Victor always wears a nice, brown suit with matching shoes and a blue tie. He also tends to carry a stethoscope around his neck out of habit, even if he's not on the job.
Personality: Victor is pretty easygoing and open about most things. He's fairly good-humored and makes sarcastic remarks fairly often to the point that he outclasses Mineto('s mind) in that regard. At best, he is lovable and friendly; at worst, his sense of humor turns cold, and his sarcasm becomes bitter.
While Victor enjoys being in crowds sometimes, he prefers one-on-one interaction with people. His job choice was made with that in mind. To strangers and friends, Victor is a kind, charming feline with a knack for making jokes at just the right time. His patients tend to feel that Victor is a good doctor who definitely knows what he's doing.
During his free time, Victor is often either talking with friends, reading a book, or watching some sort of medical comedy on TVbecause medical dramas are for wusses. Lately, he has also spent some time researching ways to better help his patients - especially Mineto. Notice that there is a lack of exercise - though he does make sure to maintain a healthy weight, Victor could never hold his own in a fight.
In most conflicts, Victor tries to be the peacemaker. He tries to make both sides either calm down or separate. If he is directly involved, Victor keeps his cool and asserts himself easily, which more often than not further annoys his opponent. If a conflict turns physical, Victor tries to stay out or get out of it as quickly as possible.
He loves his job, but Victor tends to get stressed by it, especially when he sees a particularly difficult patient. Mineto's condition also tends to stress him out, since he is one of few people who actually know about it and exactly what it can do. Victor fears for Mineto, since he can hardly stand the thought of death, especially at such a young age - that's why he became a doctor, after all.
Abilities: Victor tends to be quick-thinking and somewhat of a medical genius. With the proper equipment and a cooperating patient, he can diagnose diseases quickly and efficiently. He also tends to carry a first aid kit with him, and he knows how to treat a wide variety of injuries as well as diseases. While he isn't a fighter, he's still useful on the battlefield. Victor is the one who will come if you shout "Medic!" - and the people on his side can rest assured that he will do a good job.
History: Victor grew up with a normal family in a normal household in normal Westopolis. He went to a normal school and a normal med school, and when he graduated he had a residency at a normal doctor's office. He later moved to Erune City since homes were cheaper there. He diagnosed normal patients and prescribed normal medication, and he read a lot of normal medical books and watched a lot of normal medical comedy shows.
Then he met Mineto, who was diagnosed by a doctor who hadn't done a whole lot of research on whatever abnormal disease he had but knew the basic gist of it. Mineto's parents had taken him to Victor because the other doctor said Victor might know something, since he did a lot of research. Victor did know about it, and Mineto was properly diagnosed and given medication to help him.
Victor stayed temporarily in Station Square until Mineto wound up moving. When that happened, Victor went back to Erune and kept in touch with Mineto over the phone. Victor would make a house call yearly to keep tabs on Mineto's condition. When Mineto came back to Erune, Victor felt a very normal relief, since he didn't have to make insane million-mile trips to check up on some abnormal kid.
