Weasley Is Our King.
When time and place mean nothing any more...
When you're pitched out of your comfort zone and into a strange, new world you don't understand and has no time for the confused and the lost...
When the laws of physics are broken into millions of pieces, and creatures you never dreamed were real pass you by in the street...
Will you be strong enough to survive?
The world of Hogwarts, magic and wizard-kind is just one of many, existing side by side, but never touching others... until now. The fabric of time and space has been torn, and with people from other worlds, other times and other realities falling where they don't belong it needs to be stitched back up quickly... before something REALLY nasty comes through.
Science, magic and the paranormal are all meeting, but who is responsible for the Rift, and why?
*********
The wizarding world is already on the brink of chaos, with the once great Albus Dumbledore losing his powerful mind more and more every day. His colleagues and those loyal to him struggle to keep his secret, but the Death Eaters may have already found him out. Arthur Weasley is also struggling as Minister for Magic, realising just how unenviable a position he has in these times, especially when public opinion is in favour of the Snatchers and everybody's favourite megab***h, Dolores Umbridge, is doing her best to corrupt the incorruptible Weasley patriarch.
Neville Longbottom, once a sweet and harmless young boy, is embittered by the murder of his grandmother by Aurors, and may be at risk of becoming something nobody would ever have suspected in their wildest dreams. Draco Malfoy is still in the closet, Lucius Malfoy shows that pimping actually IS easy, and Narcissa is knocking back Firewhiskey like it's Butterbeer.
Meanwhile, Harry, Ron and Hermione have no idea of the danger their friends and even their enemies are in while they are searching for the Deathly Hallows and the Dark Lord's Horcruxes. They don't even know about the other strange happenings, namely...
The goblins of Gringotts have suddenly revealed they have a city, a massive Labyrinth, and a very human looking King whose tight pants teeter on the line of decency. They sure as hell kept that quiet. Add a Muggle girl and her brother into the fray, and wizards are terrified that the Goblin City will break the Statute Of Secrecy, which is certainly the least of their worries when...
Strange, sparkling vampires appear in England, with a Muggle girl called Bella who possesses a strange power to be the most irritating creature on Earth. Will they survive long enough to dazzle hordes of idiot teenage girls with stalker complexes, or will the self-respecting REAL vampires finally come out of the coffin and destroy them?
Speaking of real vampires, they know something is going on... especially when their most famous and notorious figures mysteriously return to undeath. The infamous Vlad Dracul, known to the world as Count Dracula, has risen again - much to the delight of vampires everywhere. Will vampires finally unite under their crown prince and rule the world, or will the sparkling vampires keep their attention off world dominion for now?
England seems to have increased it's land surface without increasing it's land mass when a quiet corner of the country suddenly turns into magical forests, kingdoms, castles and the mysterious and deadly Mountains of Madness. Here, animals are sweet, tame companions for the pure of heart; rags to riches can happen in the space of one dance or one kiss; princesses are a dime a dozen, and of course you have evil fairies and dashing princes coming out of your ears.
Nobody knows how they ended up here, and not even the Fairy Tale Folk themselves know. They certainly don't know how they're going to get home, so they now have to learn to live in a world that left their ilk behind in childhood.
A special ops team calling themselves “Torchwood” are drawn into the magical world while they investigate the Rift. Unused to magic, and more used to the alien and the scientific. How will they cope when the laws of science and logic can't explain what they see?
A huge, red, wise-cracking demon from Hell (summoned to Earth by Nazis, raised Catholic and firmly one of the Good Guys) and his equally supernatural colleagues and friends, Abe Sapien and Liz Sherman are also called in to investigate the mysterious activity that seems to manifest mostly in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Will their supernatural powers and know-how be able to figure out and fix what's happening with the world? Or will the wizards with their magic know how to put things right?
The Rift has also pulled through a team of Victorian figures with extraordinary powers. Thought by the Muggle world to be wonderful works of fiction, in another world they are all very real - A rogue, a scientist, a spy, a hunter, a vampire, a beast and an immortal. How will these Victorian misfits from 1899 cope with life in 1997?
One thing is for certain. Every day brings more and more people and creatures that do not belong in one another's world. Every passing moment, the Rift grows larger, and maybe just one group's type of power isn't enough. Maybe they all need to band together to try and fix things, but with so many worlds colliding and cultures clashing who knows if they will find common ground in order to save the world before it's too late.
There is a whisper of a dark prophecy. All who hear it feel dread strike their hearts, and madness slither across their minds:
[glow=red,2,300]
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn... Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn![/glow]
Something lies dreaming. If the Rift grows any more powerful, it could have the power to summon that something, and if it awakens... who knows if the powers of all worlds combined can stop it.
Weasley Is Our King.
Chopping, changing and causing general mayhem with other people's literature since 2009.
You're welcome.
