Tara scratched the back of her head, but gave a nod in understanding. “Alright, alright. I suppose I'll chill in the back seat. Could be worse.” With that, the white hedgehog flashed a smirk and opened up the door to the passenger seat. She wasn't exactly looking forward to the drive, but hey, some boredom beats running from robots, right? The pale hedgehog frowned at the thought.
In all honesty, she didn't mind leaving from this city. It was her life, but right now, she needed to move past her connections here. All that mattered was survival, and survival meant getting out of this hellhole. Even if this hellhole had once been her home. The hedgehog collapsed into her seat, waiting for the other two.
She rubbed at one of her ears, slouching forward to keep her numb back from grazing against the seat covers. In that brief moment of silence, a thought struck her. Shifting awkwardly in her seats, a certain hybrid comes to mind. Crap. Her sponsor. He was in town wasn't he? She remembered getting a message from him on her house phone. She should have double checked when she was back at her apartment. Well, she was sure he had been late and managed to catch news about the robot strike. Hopefully. It would be a pain if something happened to him. She knew it was pretty weird to be thinking about her profession at the moment, but damn, if her sponsor have anything, it was contacts. In other words, he would knew what was going down.
Or at least, that's what she thought. Sighing, Tara merely rolled her head to the side, glancing out of the window.

"Don't worry, kid." Banner cracked the barest hint of a smirk. "You can have the wheel as soon as we're out of the city."
When nothing's trying to kill us... hopefully. Before the detective rounded the driver's side, he paused and leaned against the trunk long enough to paw through his bag. A moment later, a pair of matte black walkie talkies emerged in hand. Banner glanced back up at Victor thoughtfully.
"... here." The fox underhanded one of them at the cat, and dropping the other through the window next to the seat before climbing inside himself. "Mile reception, fully charged. Cells are dead and we need a way to keep in contact."
Just in case.

"Cool." Victor caught the radio and gave it a quick look-over. "Just like the EMTs." With that, he climbed into his own car.
As he started up the engine and popped a new CD into his CD player, Victor began thinking about what was to come. He doubted Mineto had the sense to go back home; he probably found some other crazy idiots who wanted to go elsewhere and tagged along. Still, one of the kids Min was friends with would probably help him out, and maybe that hermit would as well.
Whatever happened, Victor hoped that Mineto was safe. The kid's life was bad enough as it was.
